Hi! I am Laura Griffin – founder and lead Interior Designer of Eclectic Tiger.
I studied Interior Design at Appalachian State University and graduated in 2011 from the school’s accredited interior design program.
Since my time at App State, I’ve had the opportunity to work in several industries that have given me a unique perspective on design. I’ve worked in various jobs and roles: a commercial furniture dealership, a wedding planner and an events coordinator for a local church. These experiences, combined with my passion for helping others create beautiful, unique and comfortable spaces, led me to start my own interior design business in 2019.
My mission is to create beautiful spaces for you to enjoy with your family, friends and community. I firmly believe that your home should tell the story of you: what you love, where you have traveled and who you care about.
But oftentimes, we feel uncomfortable welcoming others into our homes and insecure about our decor. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident in your own home. I seek to understand your needs so I can guide you to achieving your design vision.
I will help you curate your home to be a true reflection of you!
What Makes Me Different
I highly value the client-designer relationship. By getting to understand you and your lifestyle, I am able to provide you with solutions that not only fit your budget but also function on a day to day basis. And, I am confident that I can incorporate your existing interiors in a thoughtful manner.
I enjoy designing with bold colors, textures, finishes and patterns. With a careful eye and attention to detail, I will put these things together to create a one of a kind space. I’ll also work with unique brands and creative artists to bring you a one-of-a-kind look in your home.
Finally, one of the key elements to great design is knowing how to maximize your budget. I will help you decide where to splurge and where to save so that your end result is stunning and still within budget.
Why I Do What I Do
I have loved design from an early age. I was the kid who actually enjoyed creating project posters and binders. It was a chance to show a little flair and pizzazz (there has never been a more glamorous poster about raccoons and their natural habitats).
I also love beauty, whether it be indoors or outdoors. I think we see glimpses of our Creator all around us, and I desire to bring a little of that into each home I design.
Good design brings people together. I strongly believe that a thoughtfully designed space helps create warmth and comfort for all that enter. My ultimate goal is to create a curated, comfortable space that leaves you eager to welcome others into your home.
